Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society Paragon President's Award

The Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society awarded Dr. Spriggs the Paragon President Award. The award recognizes college presidents for outstanding support of student success. Only 20 are awarded each year out of 426 eligible candidates.

Forsyth Tech Launches New Brand & Logo #APlaceOfPromise

Forsyth Tech is a place of promise," Spriggs said in a statement put out by the college. "It’s a bold statement, yet we are ready to make bold and brave statements for our students and for the communities we serve. It’s called our ‘tagline’ but it is so much more than that — it represents who and what we are. It is our promise to the communities we serve. Of course, a promise is only worth something if you actually keep it, and we pledge to keep them all.”

Forsyth Tech Names Dr. Janet N. Spriggs as College's Seventh President

“I am beyond excited and overjoyed. I think Forsyth Tech is absolutely a dream job for me,” Spriggs, 56, said. “I’ve spent the last 22 years preparing for this moment. I can’t wait to get started and to keep moving things forward.”

Dr. Janet N. Spriggs has the honor of being named an Aspen Presidential Fellow twice by the Aspen Institute's College Excellence Program; First as a Rising Presidential Fellow in the third cohort in 2018-2019 and second as a New President Fellow in the inaugural cohort in 2020-2021.
